Dear friends,
Min Ser has gone home to be with the Lord at 18:18pm today. He has fought the good fight, he has finished the race, and he has kept the faith until the very end.
His wake service will be on:
• Thursday, 3rd July 2014, 8.30pm &
• Friday, 4th July 2014, 8.30pm
at
Nirvana Memorial Center
No. 1, Jalan 1/116A,
Off Jalan Sungai Besi,
57100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
My sincere condolences. Truly Min Ser was a guy one can only talk good about, and it is painful to refer to him in paste tense. Can't really imagine how all of this is difficult for you and the rest of his family. Please stay strong for your child.
ReplyDeleteDear Jen Ling.
ReplyDeleteAngela and I heard the news this morning via Facebook. We are in shock. I was Min Ser's Young Adults Pastor back in the Melbourne days. He was a wonderful brother and friend, a true man of God, abounding in faith, hope, love, and an irrepressible joy. I remember spending time with him just before he left Melbourne for good. We prayed together and he shared about his hopes and dreams for the future. I remember thinking how much I would miss him. Since we have not been in contact much since, its wonderful on the one hand to hear of the substance of some of these hopes (yourself and Jo), but a very bitter pill on the other hand to hear of his way-too-soon passing. May "the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort" (2 Cor 1:3–5) be your comfort as you walk this valley.
My condolences to you and your family Jen Ling. I couldn't imagine the pain you're going through right now but I pray for you and your family that you will find the peace, hope, faith, love and joy in The Lord. In all circumstances, God has a greater and better plan. Continue to hope and not give up! May you and your family continue to stay strong. God bless.
ReplyDeleteAlmighty Father, eternal God, hear our prayers for Your son Min Ser whom You have called from this life to Yourself. Grant him light, happiness, and peace. Let him pass in safety through the gates of death, and live forever with all Your saints in the light You promised to Abraham and to all his descendants in faith. Guard him from all harm and on that great day of resurrection and reward raise him up with all Your saints. Pardon his sins and give him eternal life in Your kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
ReplyDeleteJen Ling, I cannot imagine the pain that you and the family have been holding on to. It is a very sad lost, and Min Ser was a very kind hearted person. May God grant you emotional and physical strength to go through this tragic period. You will surely be missed, Min Ser.
ReplyDeleteDear Jen Ling,
ReplyDeleteMin Ser was one of my closest friends during uni days: we began studying at Melbourne Uni together and also attended CityLife Church (then Waverley Christian Fellowship).
Without a doubt, Min Ser was the most humble man I know. One of the first things I knew about him was his focus and dedication to his studies: he was wise and intelligent. Yet he invested much of his time towards the people around him and in service at church as well. I'm sure his heart would be behind his devotion towards his family. All this was because he was truly and wholeheartedly devoted to God. I thank him for his generosity, and also his guidance on my life in the short time I've known him.
He will be missed. Though his life was too short, we know he leaves behind a huge legacy. Jen Ling, you and Josephine will be more than proud of him.... may his passing only bring you both closer together and closer to God. I'm sure Min Ser can finally say this:
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful." 2 Timothy 4:7 (NLT)
God bless, much love,
Sam, Stephanie & Selwyn
Dear Jen Ling
ReplyDeleteMy heartfelt condolences to you and your family. I knew Min Ser when I was a student back in Melbourne many years ago. He was a great example of what it means to follow Jesus. His steadfast faith inspired me to keep pressing on to God no matter what happens. Was shocked to hear of his passing. Please stay strong in the Lord. He will be there for you.
